Merging[edit]
The articles Stunned Marine and Marine Glitch on the Silent Cartographer need to be merged with Stopping Time because they're the same glitch.
Let's start with Stunned Marine. The process is identical: find Marines, find Warthog, go to loading point, return to Marines and Hog, and they're frozen. The only difference seems to be that in Stunned Marine, the discoverer(s) didn't attempt to return the Marines to "their area".
However, Stunned Marine should not be deleted entirely, as it contains information not present in Stopping Time -- most notably, the fact that Needler rounds and Plasma Grenades experience a delayed detonation when used on frozen Marines.
And that leads into why Marine Glitch on the Silent Cartographer needs to be merged. The instructions for Marine Glitch describe a very similar process: find Marines, find Warthog, go somewhere, return to Marines and Hog, and they're frozen. The only difference is that these instructions do not mention a loading point. However, they do mention the Needler/Plasma Grenade effect, which directly connects Marine Glitch to Stunned Marine and indirectly connects Marine Glitch to Stopping Time.
So why keep Stopping Time? Well, Stopping Time appears to have the most information (apart from some of the information in Marine Glitch), and it is a little more in-depth -- it is the only article of the three to describe the process of returning the affected actors to their areas, and it's the only one to mention enemies being affected.
So we should probably merge these articles (carefully, to avoid information duplication) and turn Stunned Marine and Marine Glitch on the Silent Cartographer into redirects. I will add the merge templates soon. File:DavidJCobb_Emblem.svg|16px]] DavidJCobb 13:52, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
- Agree. Input the information from those articles to this article and we'll perform the merge.- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 13:55, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
