Talk:Reticle

Color?[edit]

"normally grey in color..." Call it original research, but I've always thought it was blue. Anyone disagree? I'm going to change it, but feel free to undo if lots of people think its grey. Mattman0000 21:30, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Spell it "RETICLE"[edit]

I'm pretty sure the proper spelling is RETICLE, without the "U." Reticule is supposed to mean a purse, although in a language like French (I believe) the two words are spelled the same way. Anyways, Bungie's website consistently spells it as "reticle" now. Obviously, the spelling "reticule" is littered all over the Internet on video game sites and articles, and it's almost consensus that it means the cross-hairs on your Tango when it primarily means "a woman's purse" CoreLegend 23:59, June 26, 2010 (UTC)

It doesn't matter; it can be spelled either way. SmokeSound off! 00:08, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
But the official spelling is "reticle". The page should reflect such information.--FluffyEmoPenguin 12:59, July 20, 2010 (UTC)

Besides potential incorrect usage, it's interesting that the dictionary lists reticle complete with definition, but has no version called reticule. ScaleMaster117 (talk) 09:42, 28 June 2013 (EDT)
