One more S-3 Conjecture[edit]
Can someone with a little more technical know how than me pop some conjecture markers on the part about the Reach protagonist, because its well, conjecture. --CiaoGamer 21:49, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
It looks like my edits regarding the Halo: Reach Video Games Awards Trailer have been taken off. I had added the possibility that the new player character from Halo: Reach could be a survivor of Beta Company's Operation: TORPEDO. So, in light of it, I think we should discuss that possibility here and what implications it has one the article.
Also, is there some sort of official policy I should know about before revising the page with this kind of implied retroactive continuity?

- "Have you ever considered the fact that Pegasi is a whole system? There could be twenty planets with the name Pegasi on it for all we know"
- — Halo-343
- The above quotes shows the flaws of this assumption. The SPARTANs didn't specify what planet in the Pegasi system, he merely said, "Didn't think anyone survived Pegasi, sir." This statement implied that the Unnamed Lieutenant was the sole/one of many lucky survivor(s) that survived a failed/pyrrhic success operation. For all we know, there could be other operations which involved disastrous outcomes in the 51 Pegasi system.- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 23:29, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- By the way Jorge-052 said, "Didn't think anyone survived Pegasi," he makes it seem that there was only one event of note in the system. And I mean, what are the chances that there was another event in 51 Pegasi that involved little or no surviors and Spartan-III's? (In case you're wondering, the Lieutenant was confirmed an S-III in this press release.) --Oshovah 00:33, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
- I think not. ;)
- This typo will disprove all "SPARTAN-III in Halo: Reach" theories.- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 00:37, December 14, 2009 (UTC)

- Heh, well that's just confusing. Maybe we should just add onto the 51 Pegasi article with something like, "After an unnamed event in this sytem that was thought by some to have claimed the lives of all who were involved, an unidentified Spartan apparently survived and joined Noble Team to fight in the Battle of Reach." --00:53, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
