You're wrong on both counts. A .44 FMJ '''IS''' a .44 magnum. All the FMJ means is that it uses a full-metal jacketed, non-expanding bullet as opposed to a JHP (the standard) which is a semi-jacketed expanding bullet. This means more penetration at the expense of stopping power. Either way it's still the same cartridge, it's still 11*33mm.
