Reclaimer[edit]
Something about the Luminary has been bothering me: if the word "reclamation" was mistranslated "reclaimer", then firstly, how did they manage to find former Forerunner artifacts in the first place? And secondly, if it does mistranslate, why couldn't they just use it to find every Human, everywhere? --Lord of SPARTANsLOMI HQI here your criesMay your works be honorable

- Well, for starters, we can just speculate. The Forerunner artefacts were present in the Prophet's and the Sangheili's homeworld. These discovery later lead to the Prophet-Sangheili War (Can't remember the correct title...) but seeing that the Prophet's had superior technology, the Sangheili surrendered and thus formed the Covenant. The word Reclamation or "Reclaimer" refers only to Humans based on what we see in the Trilogy, but is not limited to other Forerunner artefacts based on TCP. Regarding why they didn't use it to find every human: it could be that the within the Luminary (Mendicant?) was trying to prevent that in order to make amends.- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 21:20, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Luminaries on Heretic?[edit]
On the level Heretic, it looks like there are two Luminaries on it, one red the other blue.112 23:01, September 27, 2009 (UTC)
Encyclopedia[edit]
I just noticed this in the Encyclopedia, but it says that in addition to Forerunner relics, Tier 4 (and higher) species also appear on Luminaries as "bright, shining glyphs". I ask this here before I add it because I thought that humans only appeared on Luminaries because they are the Reclaimers, not because they were >Tier 4. Although, it kind of makes sense. The Covenant was pretty certain that there was Forerunner relics hidden in the jungles of Palamok, but this turned out not to be the case. It could have been the Luminaries picking up the Tier 4 Yanme'e, leading the Covenant to thinking that there was Forerunner relics on the surface. What does everyone else think? --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 20:28, 9 June 2016 (EDT)
If you did not mention Palamok and the Buggers, I would assume it was miscommunication between the writers of the Encyclopedia and whoever had possession of Halo at the time it was written. But with them it seems likely that they can detect Tier 4+ species, not concrete evidence IMO, but certainly worth noting. It would also stand to reason that they would have a secondary function.
