Talk:List of outside references to the Halo series
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
Bullet Point or Prose[edit]
So, bullets? No bullets? Bullets only under webcomic sections? I'd like to standardize this. --Dragonclaws(talk) 06:16, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Webcomics[edit]
Because anyone can make a webcomic and stick in a Halo reference, I'm suggesting we only include webcomics that have Wikipedia articles. --Dragonclaws(talk) 07:49, December 16, 2009 (UTC)
We Can Be Heroes[edit]
I don't watch this show, I just had it on Comedy when I noticed that they (Nathan, particularly, I think) played Halo CE (on an original xbox) a few times in that episode. If anybody wants to add it, go ahead, I don't know what to do with that lol. //--TehK 11:46, July 31, 2010 (UTC)
Eureka[edit]
I vaguely remember seeing Allison Blake's son Kevin playing Halo 3 on the level The Covenant, in Dr. Douglas Fargo's self-deploying tent on a camping trip, right before the scenes where they get attacked by rogue robots in I think it was Season 4, "Momstrosity". I'm 100% certain, could somebody verify? I know for sure I did see Halo 3 The Covenant level being played in Eureka, but I just can't remember which season, what episode it was in.
- I found the episode of Eureka. Definitely is Halo 3, I clearly saw an M6 Spartan laser being aimed and fired. Here's the text I was going to be put into the article: "In Eureka's fourth season, in the sixth episode of Momstrosity, Jack Carter takes Allison Blake's son Kevin out on a camping trip with Doctor Douglas Fargo and Doctor Trevor Grant, Kevin is seen playing Halo 3 on an Xbox 360 in Dr. Fargo's computerized tent(...)" Any changes that can be made to this sentence to make it flow better, that would be great.
Sources and use of bullet points[edit]
Hey, it just occurred to me that none of the material within this articled is sourced. Wouldn't it improve the reliability of the article if we attempted to do that? I mean, we would only have to offer a YouTube link to any TV series, Music video of movie, cite a verse from a book or link to any webcomic which mentions Halo. Also, I thought single bullet points were unnecessary when a section includes only one piece of trivia (or outside reference to Halo, in this case)? Just a few things I had in mind for improving this article.--Brute Honour Guard File:Bruteface.png|20px]] ("Talk") 11:22, 12 November 2011 (EST)
- Yes this article should be sourced. I have also removed all bullet points where there was only a single entry to a section.--Lt. Commander 光环的家伙1234 Talk (Contribs) (Edits) 12:04, 12 November 2011 (EST)
Before you laugh[edit]
... should this be added to the list? :P — subtank 15:09, 28 May 2012 (EDT)
- Yeah. That's pretty funny.-- KEEP IT CLEAN Comm Line Transmissions 16:05, 28 May 2012 (EDT)
Shouldn't this be a list of "references", not a list of "sightings"?[edit]
... because as it is currently, the list is more of "List of sightings in other media to the Halo series". Some are good references, such as Marvel's use of MJOLNIR for its Ultimates Comics. Others are bad references (that they shouldn't be counted as references in the first place) such as the mere sight of characters playing Halo in one scene.— Hacame 12:05, 23 July 2014 (EDT)
XV - The Square in the Circle[edit]
Album art has to be a clear homage to Halo 3. Same color palette, the ring in the back, the 360 logo. Would love to see it mentioned here. 136.34.229.22 17:32, May 3, 2024 (EDT)
