Theory

When I first saw this article... i thought it was junk. i thought it was somethin from the chronicles of narnia. lol. i think it is fake. the key. i think that it is a ruse. and cleveland? come on! AJ 00:27, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

I agree with AJ's theory; the reason what's-his-name knows about the Key is probably because it's something from a 26th-century TV show (or game, or whatever). What Cleveland image do you mean, and how does that affect things?

I think it is just the key that opens the portal to The Ark. I think it activates the structure on Earth and opens the portal that leads to the ark.

However, the key could be required for a full Array activation, but not for single detonations, as a sort of stop-gap measure to insure the galaxy is not wiped out by accident.
