Guesty-Persony-Thingy filed an AfD for this talk page on the grounds of "they aren't called installations; watch the cutscenes, and listen to Cortana: they're called Halos". RelentlessRecusant denied this AfD request on June 9, 2007.

Technically no it's not. Halo is the name given to the weapon, for identifaction purposes within the UNSC. The Covenant use the term "Halo" but again in the Human (or English) language, but in their native tounge it probably would have meant "Sacred Ring". But that is straying from the subject, the true nature of "Halo" is a contaiment laboratory, thus making it a Insatllation. Seeing how there is more than one installation calling them "Halo" as an official name would make it trouble for identifcation between them. It was moved from THE HALOS to INSTALLATION because it is a more neutral term serving the different species and the name given to it by them. If you would have read the artical you would have noticed the term used by each occiated species for it, also wall the redirects running to that specific page.
