Talk:Hidden Marine
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
Explanation[edit]
"His character model is that of Private Mendoza, and was simply left behind by Bungie when they were making the game." Actually, I don't think that's correct. From what I've read about the level in question (343 Guilty Spark (Level)), it seems like Mendoza only appears in two places: in the helmet video and as a Combat Form.
Bungie probably wanted the non-infected Mendoza model to be loaded first so that the player wouldn't have to wait for it to load later (when viewing the helmet cam), so they probably had the game load him in advance and place him where the player (normally) couldn't see him.

Unsigned Discussion[edit]
I just wonder...WONDER! Like they think "oh, i'm gonna search for a Marine in the middle of nowhere!"; It's odd... Almost like those weapons are part of the weapons cache Captain Keyes was looking for...

Video?[edit]
Does anyone think that a video might be needed on this page?--Werefang 00:40, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- A video could be useful... Perhaps it might help demonstrate the (very high) likelihood of this being a glitch and not an easter egg. File:DavidJCobb_Emblem.svg|16px]] DavidJCobb 01:34, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- Shoot. I don't know how videos are prefered here so I'll leave it here for someone else to figure out. It looks like the PC version to me.

Move[edit]
The current name is unwieldy. I would definitely move it to a shorter title. Is this the only hidden Marine? 'Cause if it is, I'd just move it to "Hidden Marine". If not, then "Hidden Marine (343 Guilty Spark)". --Dragonclaws(talk) 20:21, 10 September 2012 (EDT)
