Talk:Flood den
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
The entity in that image is not a "Den." It is actually one of the Flood containment structures on the small map "Containment", which if its control console further south is manned by a player's infantry, can be ordered to release Flood forms of different types, from infected troops to the "Thrasher" forms.
The structure that the biomass surrounds is actually a Forerunner structure, not a Covenant one. This article should be amended to more accurately present aspects of gameplay and the Halo story.

- You mean a Flood Growth Pod?- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 03:42, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
No, not a Flood Growth Pod. The structure I am pointing out is in Halo Wars, and specific to that game's design and mechanics. My earlier comment is flawed in the name of the map. It is a 1v1 map called Release, which has two large structures, one to the south, and one to the northwest. There are two panels that can be manned by infantry, which can be controlled to release different Flood forms out onto the map.
Depending on the player's tech level, they are combat, carrier, infection, swarm, and thrasher forms, and they cost a fairly large expenditure of supplies to use. All of this is a game mechanic unique to this map, and is not part of the game's story.
