Forge's Fate

s I guess this wont really matter since a Halo Wars 2 is very unlikely at this time but I was wondering about the fate of Sgt J.Forge, he was last seen entering the Forerunner device that was used to deliver the slipspace core to the star so his actual death/disappearance is not witnessed.

Its my understanding that most if not all major Forerunner installations have a monitor or AI governing them, Is it at all possible that any said AI could have appeared to Forge just before the stars destruction and beamed him out, similar to Masterchief's first encounter with 343 Guilty Spark in Halo CE?

It would leave the door open for any possible continuation for that character, he would either be transported to a Forerunner dreadnought that escaped the stars destruction or to another facility far from the shield world, perhaps even another Halo.

Also the legendary Serina dialogue could point to such an event if 2 weeks after the destuction of the Sheild world they caught up with Forge in whatever situation he might be in

this is a very good idea but i find one problem

it says there was a dumb AI on Cleansing(Level)

that says "unknown aliens"

I see your point, its a little odd tho, if it was refering to humans as Unknown aliens yet all Forerunner technology can only be operated by humans, seems a little contradictory.

This dumb AI seems fully aware of what the flood is and to automatically react to it yet dosent imediatly recognise the "Reclaimer " raceDARKSTORM99 08:33, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

Well i have looked more into it and i have a sentence from the page

The AI's voice does not resemble that of any other known Forerunner AI. While AIs like the Monitors have a more natural voice, this construct speaks in a robotic monotone. It's seemingly what could be classified as a "dumb" AI, as it seems to only follow a strict programming and doesn't even take note of the presence of "Reclaimers", as it only refers to them as "unknown aliens"

I suppose one possibility would be since the arrival of the Covenant into the interior of the shield world (witch allowed the flood in), the monitor and its sentinels would have been busy trying to contain the outbreak, perhaps it saw a solution to its problem when it realised the humans intent to destroy the infection be destroying the shield world only then choosing to react.
