Simple conceptual image?[edit]
Hey, I read that the Black-Box's AI avatar is just a simple featureless three-dimensional black/blue box. If I might be so bold, would it not be okay for us to use something as simple as a three-dimensional blue box? Surely there would be no reason not to? Just a thought. --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 14:39, 31 October 2012 (EDT)Xamikaze330
- Its a novel idea, but I think we should err on the side of caution and leave BB's page void of visual representation. Grizzlei ♥ ツ
Well, we did make this from the description of Australia's new flag, never visually represented yet visually described. If Box's description is really that simple and throughly described, then we could allow another exception. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 15:05, 31 October 2012 (EDT)
- That was described very intensively and we already had a good idea of what it looked like. This is a box. There's INFINITE amounts of things it could look like. Grizzlei ♥ ツ
Well, I don't own the book, so I can't attest to its description. Xamikaze, how much is BB's avatar described? You say the box is simple and featureless? Tuckerscreator(stalk) 15:19, 31 October 2012 (EDT)
- Well, almost featureless. It's mostly described as a blue box, as opposed to actually being a black box, and it's three-dimensional, as I remember it. I can't say that BB's avatar was described as three-dimensional directly, but it seemed rather implied indirectly than directly. Something like that. Something a little bit along the lines of this image supplied here. Or at least how I envisioned BB's avatar, given the very simple descriptions. --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 15:26, 31 October 2012 (EDT)Xamikaze330
- Don't think we should use it. Something like a flag or a map can be reasonably represented as a flat vector image based on descriptions, whereas a depiction of an actual object, even a hologram, has far more to it than flat colors - holograms have things such as grain, distortions, and we don't even know the exact shade of blue which might be variable anyway. Plus, I don't think the image would add anything to the article - the descriptions should make BB's appearance clear enough for anyone. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 15:32, 31 October 2012 (EDT)
- Fair enough. I can understand and accept that. But I just added my own representation of BB's avatar to one of my galleries, which means I don't want it deleted. You understand. :-) --Xamikaze330 (talk|contribs) 15:39, 31 October 2012 (EDT)Xamikaze330
