Deletion

From the looks of it, this article inherits notability from its child articles (i.e. Pakistan). It has no notable information from the Halo universe (unless you start adding information from the child articles into the parent article... but that's simply making the child articles redundant as to having their own article).

As the current notability policy does not provide anything on subjects that inherits notability, I would suggest users to refer to the recently-amended version. If this deletion is successful, it shall follow that all other Continent articles would be removed from the wiki and all links replaced with Wikipedia links.— subtank 10:13, 25 June 2012 (EDT)

I mostly agree, though I'd prefer the article for Africa be kept because of its significance as a central setting in the series, its relevance to humanity's ancestry, and by extension its potential for future expansion. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 01:35, 9 July 2012 (EDT)

Regarding Africa, I don't see its particular relevance as a continent. We know the Forerunners went to Kenya specifically. Everything interesting takes place in Kenya, so why not just have Kenya? I think westerners tend to view Africa as a vague homogenous mass and not focus on the individual countries that make it up, but this is a mistake. --Dragonclaws^(talk) 14:14, 28 August 2012 (EDT)

Since Earth's continents don't have any significant difference compared to the RL ones and all of them (minus Africa) don't provide any unique, useful information, we should get rid of them (with template, categories etc.) and link everything to wp as mentioned above. I think we should keep Africa but rewrite it by removing any RL information and making it more relevant to the Halo universe.--ShadowDancer ^|contribs| 19:17, 11 September 2012 (EDT)
