Talk:7.62x51mm
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
Untitled[edit]
About the name of this article, it should be 7.62x51mm, not 7.62X51. A lowercase "x" stands for "by", so it would be like saying 7.62 by 51mm rounds. Also, mm should be added behind 51 because that shows the unit of measure for the rounds. It is called 7.62x51mm, not 7.62X51.
Source[edit]
Is there any source for saying that they use a 7.62 NATO? Just wondering.Coviekiller5 04:15, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- I wondered this too, because in the Halo universe, NATO isn't around anymore. It wouldn't make sense to name their rounds after a dead organization. I think it should be 7.62x51mm Full Metal Jacket, or actually, go with the original naming found in CE: the "M118 7.62x51mm FMJ-AP".--File:PENGUIN4.gif|15px]]FluffyEmoPenguin(ice quack!) 21:22, August 13, 2010 (UTC)
