I am no stranger to the Halo Universe, since I have been playing Halo since the beginning. Way before XBL.
Actually, here's a good story. I stumble on Halo CE, when one of my friends told me about it on Xbox. I knew Xbox but unsure what Halo was and when I did get my own Xbox, it came with Halo in it. I played it for the first 2 days and I got hooked. Internet was different back then and I found out about XBConnect, which was the driving force into getting online and playing against other players. I just graduated and started working at that year. Back then Trash Talking was thru Chat, since XBC didn't allow voice chat. That's how I met another guy (lives in Chicago) - his gamertag was COL_TOFU. We played all the time and on weekends was longer (Friday = 9pm-6am, Sat = 11am- 1am, Sun = 7am-3pm). The grind was real!
Sadly light got real and lift goes on and I lost track of this guy and I lost my main XBL GT = Gerbil.
I stayed with "Gerbi1jr" and message TOFU once a year, but not sure what happen to him.
Almost 18 years later, the guy message me that he has another account. The most funniest part was that he forgot his password to his main account and only recently remember it.
This was our game last Sunday morning!
I also wanted to add that I am currently a moderator on Reddit (Halo Infinite and Halo 5) and collection of a few items.
