{{Halopedia:Main Page/Random/Layout|''Sinaris''-pattern heavy destroyer|File:Enc22 SoTP CPV.png|During the Covenant War, ''Sinaris''-pattern heavy destroyers were often seen on the front lines of naval battles or leading glassing operation of human colonies. Commonly crewed by those who had been condemned for their disloyalty or disobedience, a posting aboard a ''Sinaris''-pattern heavy destroyer was considered to be a viable method of the faithful returning to the rolls of honor after previously disgracing themselves. Despite the vessel's distinct focus on naval combat, the ''Sinaris''-pattern was also equipped with sufficient complements of aircraft and infantry to assist in planetary occupation duties. Following the war, these warships continue to see service within the naval forces of the Swords of Sanghelios and other remnant factions.}}

Meridian 2558.png

Meridian is a human Outer Colony and the seventh natural satellite of the gas giant Hestia V in the Hestia system. Despite being located on the edges of human space, Meridian was a vibrant and thriving colony with a robust economy and an impressive population; mining and military production for the UNSC were known industries on the colony. Once a green world, the moon held a temperate climate and fertile land. The Covenant eventually attacked the world in 2548 and, after a long battle that lasted for three years, Meridian was ultimately glassed by the Covenant in 2551. Following the Human-Covenant War, Meridian was resettled by the Liang-Dortmund Corporation. Despite being a colony of the UEG, Meridian became an independent world following the Covenant War.
