Rhu 'Vrath is a Sangheili assassin who served with Jul 'Mdama's reformed Covenant. After becoming disillusioned with the Covenant's beliefs,[1] 'Vrath defected to the Swords of Sanghelios, where he served as a D'nomlhe-pattern Banshee pilot of Attack Wing Jardam.[2]

Rhu 'Vrath served Jul 'Mdama's reformed Covenant as an assassin. On October 27, 2558, the Covenant launched a desperate attack on Sanghelios after the death of 'Mdama on Kamchatka. During the battle, 'Vrath infiltrated the Swords of Sanghelios to carry out an assassination on Arbiter Thel 'Vadam. When 'Vadam was at a Swords of Sanghelios encampment in Nuusra territory, 'Vrath found an opportunity to assassinate the Arbiter as 'Vadam was busy readying his armor. However, after seeing the Mark of Shame on the Arbiter's chest, 'Vrath himself felt shame and questioned his orders, realizing there was more to 'Vadam than he thought. After the two caught each other's eyes, 'Vrath looked away and refused to carry out his mission.[1]
Afterwards, 'Vrath abandoned his faith in Jul 'Mdama and his Covenant's beliefs and truly aligned himself with the Swords of Sanghelios. 'Vrath later served as a D'nomlhe-pattern Banshee pilot in the Swords of Sanghelios' Attack Wing Jardam. During the battle across Nuusra, Jardam Wing engaged a Covenant Shuul'se-pattern Kraken. While flying near the walker, 'Vrath noticed Spartan-IV Fireteam Osiris easily eliminating Covenant forces even though they were outnumbered and fighting uphill; 'Vrath then felt that 'Mdama was a fool for believing humans could not be victorious when facing the Covenant.[2]
