Raas 'Yajadai is a Sangheili politician who served within the Covenant as a High Councilor toward the end of the Human-Covenant War.[1]
Biography[edit]
Raas 'Yajadai served in the Covenant military for decades, and by 2552, he had become a High Councilor of the Covenant High Council. He was among a fourteen-strong band of Sangheili present at Installation 05's Control Room on November 3, 2552.[1]
'Yajadai led the group towards the door leading to the Control Room. However, their path was blocked by Jiralhanae led by Avitus, known as the Thrallslayer. Tensions escalated as 'Yajadai refused to be escorted by the Jiralhanae, asserting their right to proceed without their presence. The confrontation became violent when Thrallslayer's group opened fire on the Sangheili, killing two Sangheili instantly and throwing the situation into chaos. 'Yajadai himself engaged Avitus in single combat, and although he managed to bisect Avitus' Brute Shot with a slash of his energy sword, the Thrallslayer subdued the High Councilor. 'Yajadai was taken to the Bastion of the Brutes, where he was confined to a cell on Avitus' orders.[1]
Shortly after, the Bastion of the Brutes came under the assault of Arbiter Thel 'Vadamee. 'Yajadai, along with his fellow prisoners, were freed from their imprisonment. Together, they ventured to the facility's landing pad, where the Jiralhanae held a Protos-pattern Scarab.[2]
Personality and traits[edit]
- "My path is already set, Avitus. It is you who has yet to choose."
- — Raas 'Yajadai reacts defiantly to Avitus.[1]
With the "-dai" suffix in his surname, Raas 'Yajadai is likely a blademaster in the short-path method of combat.[3]
