Paelosurs are an enigmatic sightless species of cetacean found in the oceans of multiple worlds including Beta Gabriel and Alluvion, where they were seeded following the firing of the Halo Array. [1]
Overview[edit]
Biology[edit]
The paelosurs of Beta Gabriel use an incredibly evolved sense of echolocation to find their primary source of food, massive colony-swarms of krill-like organisms found in the planet's oceans. As cetaceans, paelosurs are air-breathers, inhaling and exhaling through thousands of pores scattered across the surface of their bodies.[1]
In-game information[edit]
Halo 5: Guardians[edit]
Paelosurs are ambient wildlife that can be seen in the multiplayer of Halo 5: Guardians. They can be seen in the ocean on the maps Escape from ARC and Fathom, though cannot be interacted with.
Trivia[edit]
In Halo Mash-Up: Minecraft Evolved for the Bedrock Edition or Minecraft, the Dolphin mob is retextured to look like the Paelosur.
