Overview[edit]
Topography and ecology[edit]
The climate of Mamore was warm and was considered a stage 1 terraformed biosphere.[2]
History[edit]
Mamore was a priority settlement target during the second-wave of extrasolar development after development of the slipspace drive. Volunteers were drawn from Jovian habitat clusters. Since settlement, Mamore has had an anti-UEG sentiment.[2]
Mamore was a collection and processing point for those who were displaced by Operation: TREBUCHET and when the Covenant initially attacked Sector One and Sector Two. This has lead to the rapid development of arcologies on the world.[2]
The Haven arcology was bombed by the Freedom and Liberation Party, among other crimes. UNSC forces have degraded insurrectionist control over the arcologies.[1] At some point, the Spartans ran a deployment on Mamore where they lost Nora-098.[2]
In 2552, while John-117 was trying to find the planet from his childhood memories in the FLEETCOM Central Database, Mamore was one of the 103 colonies and moons that met his search parameters. John recalled losing Nora on the mission and was disturbed not to feel anything at the memory.[2]
Government and society[edit]
Insurrectionists control outer, ungoverned regions on the planet.[2]
