*The ''Legionnaire'' Armor owes its name to its visual similarity to the armor worn by [[Wikipedia:Legionary|Roman Legionaries]], particularly their [[Wikipedia:Galea (helmet)|helmet]]. This trend is also carried over into the armor's skins: ''Optio'' refers to the Roman [[Wikipedia:Optio|Optio]], who served as executive officers to Centurions, while ''Alaris'' refers either to a [[Wikipedia:Ala (Roman allied military unit)|conscripted soldier from one of the Republic's client states]] or to a cavalryman of the Imperial Auxilia who were organized into formations called an [[Wikipedia:Ala (Roman cavalry unit)|Ala]].
