Gravity hammers were then made usable by players in ''[[Halo 3]]'' as a second melee weapon after the [[energy sword]], and has become a mainstay weapon in series ever since. The gravity hammer is a powerful melee weapon that can kill multiple foes in one swing, and can even be effectively used against vehicles.
