===Layout===
===Layout===
Fragmentation is a large, near-symmetrical map intended for Big Team Battle. The general layout could be broadly described as 8-shaped, with infantry paths encircling the vehicle routes which travel along the edge of the map. The beacon towers serve as the respective bases, with one base situated near a cliff edge while the other base is situated inside a canyon. Each base has an rock archway at its front and a sloped path across the roadway and along the edge of the map. These two paths lead towards a courtyard which hosts a vault. Internally referred to as the "loot cave", the vaults requires a player to hack open a door with their personal AI; inside are various [[equipment]] and weapons.{{Ref/Reuse|early look}} Beyond the courtyard, the path leads to the other base. These two lanes at the center of the map are distinguished by the terrain; the cliff base leads to a path with numerous hexagonal Forerunner columns, whereas the canyon base leads to a path with natural rocks. Players can cut through the center of the map through a Forerunner corridor.
