Forum:Unused Category and Template cleanup

I have a couple things I wanna bring up.
- 1. Can I clean up the Unused Templates and Categories in the Following pages. Sure some are needed but most in my eyes can be. I am only asking cause it might help the editors actually use the pages for their intended purpose instead of being a mess.

- 2. Once I cleared it up. Can we retire(delete) the Images to be replaced Category. I feel that it kinda is useless to have now since most are screenshots from PC or Xbox One, leading to 90% of all images being great quality now.

Looking over the unused categories, there are quite a few that are clearly license-, maintenance- or organization-related and shouldn't be tampered with (e.g. Category:Files with versions pending deletion and Category:Decommissioned categories). So care should be taken with those (the same is true for the unused templates - e.g. Template:Uncategorized is a potentially useful maintenance template that's simply not in use currently). A lot of the randomly specific user categories or templates could be dispensed with, though.
Also, I don't see why the "Images to be replaced" category should be retired. Even a quick glance reveals that lot of images in the category could use an update (e.g. File:Bridge2.jpg, File:DSC00123.JPG.jpg, or File:Jenkinsfacecloseup.PNG) and it's still likely we'll continue to get low-quality images (of which better versions may exist) every now and then (never underestimate people's ability to upload a low-quality version of an image even if a better quality one is available). --Jugus (talk) 15:18, 13 June 2017 (EDT)
- Fair enough on the "Images to be replaced" category. Never thought that. lol. I just thought Screenshots on Xbox One and PC would solve most of the bad images. But yea on that half I agree. -CIA391 (talk) 17:24, 13 June 2017 (EDT)

- As per Jugus. Don't worry about the templates; I'm keeping a close watch on all of them. If you find a template that you think may have a significant purpose to the wiki (just like Template:Censor which you recently restored), just let me know. If any of the important templates starts going missing, I'll restore them. I can't say much for the categories; they require much needed housekeeping. Keep it up! — subtank 12:05, 15 June 2017 (EDT)
