So, we now have the first officially released concept art for what we are still (for the moment) calling Halo 5. And I have to say, I'm optimistic!

Firstly, I think the human environments were always the most interesting playspaces. Old and New Mombassa in Halo 2, Voi in Halo 3, New Mombassa in ODST, and New Alexandria in Reach. Secondly, is it me or is the structure on the right of the image a Covenant Assault Carrier, landed and worked into the cityscape? It looks fantastic, and it probably means the game will take place on Venezia. Which makes me hopeful that, finally, we'll be getting human enemies as antagonists, secessionist rebels not at all happy with having the Infinity hovering over their homes, and who are working with the Covenant. I've wanted that since Reach, and I really hope that's what we're getting.

Exploring Venezia and having human enemies would certainly be interesting. I also noticed a second structure in the image that looks like an Assault Carrier (middle & to the left in the distance). I recall seeing IGN or some other gaming site also speculating about the structures being Covenant Assault Carriers.--Spartacus TalkContribs 20:40, 12 January 2014 (EST)

343i better include Humans/insurrectionist as antagonist for once in the next game. I love fighting aliens but I do want a lil change of pace for gameplay since fighting the same ole covies is getting a lil old imo. The prometheans were definitely a lil different but still, I want to see rebels in action this time around. The environment definitely looks interesting. Those structures do look like Covie Assualt carriers, could be human built Assault Carriers (due to the coloration) but at the same time they may just be buildings since I don't think it would make since to be having a ship yard that close to a city. I'm at odds as to where its located. No real clue, maybe Earth?--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:50, 16 January 2014 (EST)

If they are carriers, that doesn't necessarily mean it's a shipyard - if anything, given the state of the post-war Covenant, they could be ships too far gone to press back into service that got landed and reused as habitation, and where the rest of the city sprouted up around them. -- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 21:24, 16 January 2014 (EST)
Now thats thinking outside the box. Well hey, that was my assumption.--Killamint [Comm|Files] 12:55, 17 January 2014 (EST)
