The ''[[Halo 4]]'' Infinity Challenge and Global World Championship tournaments required prospective players to sign up to gain access. Upon successfully signing up, they were sent an [[Halo universe|in-universe]] email '''enlistment verification'''. The enlistment verification includes a few minor lore details, that at this time are considered (for the purposes of this site) to be apocrypha - that is to say, officially-published marketing material of dubious canonical value. The text features an oath of office acceptance that is [[Wikipedia:United States Uniformed Services Oath of Office|almost identical]] to that used by the modern-day United States Armed Forces.{{Ref/Generic|[[Talk:Constitution of the United Nations Space Command]]}}
