Campaign[edit]

During the mission The Oracle there are two in-engine cutscenes: one where the Heretic Leader uses his Banshee to fire at the Arbiter, and another where the Arbiter survives a crash landing. In both of these cutscenes the Arbiter is actually a Non-playable character and uses pathfinding to navigate to scenes, rather than being hand animated. This is most apparent when the Arbiter crouch walks away from his Banshee wreckage and moves towards a door. Outside of these examples the Arbiter never appears as an NPC again, neither as an enemy or an ally. The NPC inherits all of its data from the Elite Minor character with no changes other than using the Arbiter model. In Halo 2: Anniversary all remastered cutscenes are prerendered and thus do not rely on any character AI. The cutscenes in classic mode remain unchanged.

Halo 3[edit]
