- "I'll punish you for that! They'll find just enough alive to execute!"
- — 'Kwari's last words[1]
'Kwari was a Sangheili prison guard for the Ussans of the Refuge.[1]
Biography[edit]
After Ussa 'Xellus warned his keep to not trust the newly formed Covenant in 851 BCE, Covenant attack fighters razed the keep. Ussa led the survivors to the Nwari region, before he departed for the Refuge with his allies and other like-minded Sangheili—including 'Kwari. On the shield world, the Ussans intended to grow and strike back against the Covenant.[2]
In 850 BCE, 'Kwari served as the sentry of the Ussan prison when Salus 'Crolon was imprisoned for treason against Ussa. While on guard, 'Kwari had removed his helmet and fell asleep. 'Crolon used a makeshift blade and stabbed the guard in his hearing membrane. Furious, 'Kwari drew his burnblade and unlocked 'Crolon's cell, with the intention to punish him—but leave him alive for his inevitable execution—for the attack. However, 'Crolon used his blade to stab the guard in his right eye. The traitor wrestled the burnblade from his grasp and decapitated the heavily injured 'Kwari. 'Crolon was eventually able to escape the Refuge. Enduring Bias later showed footage of 'Kwari's death and 'Crolon's escape to Ussa and Sooln 'Xellus.[1]
