Storm war22's board
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
I think I would prefer not to take sides. Though I may point out that the Flood will infect virtually everybody once unleashed, so it is theoretically (emphasis on theoretically) possible that you may be correct. And then again, with a shipboard Smart AI, a crew isn't entirely necessary if the only that needs doing is getting the hell out of Dodge (the Ark, I mean) as fast as possible, in other words, initiating the sublight engines, or in other cases, the Slipspace stardrive. But as I said, I prefer not to take sides.
Uh, I think it looks okay, but then again others may think differently. It certainly doesn't seem too redundant to me, but I do however agree that I could use some tweaking to make sound and read better.
- "*at the end of Halo apparently the Forward Unto Dawn has no troops on board."
- — Your edit
That is quite an obvious, poorly written, and redundant statement that doesn't belong in the article. Everyone knows that the Chief, Cortana and Thel' were the only lifeforms aboard the ship.
See what was? By the way, somebody added your little bit of trivia to the MA5B article, just so you know.
Oh, yes. I forgot to say a few other helpful things. Be sure to utilize the dictionary and the thesaurus a lot, too, so you can avoid word repetition or if there is some word you want to use but don't know what it means. All in all, just remember everything I told you, and I guarantee things'll get better. To be honest, I have no idea how old you are since based upon some of the edits you've made have been giving me mixed signals, but either way, please just remember. Whoever is the one who needs help, if you like, I can try and be a mentor to you. Here's an idea: create a new talk section in any article you desire to add to, and write down whatever it is you want to post and then wait for other users to present to you better ways to write it. Hope this helps!
Simply put, you need to really seriously brush up on your spelling, punctuation, and grammar in school, and be sure to pay very close attention if you are to win the respect and accord I'm guessing you so desperately want. If you're not in school, then I would suggest doing it on your own and teaching yourself, or you can ask one of your parents to help you be better than you were. In any case, here are some revisions I've made to your statement:
- "Strangely enough, it is possible to get a headshot with the MA5B. This is unusual because it is not considered a headshot-capable weapon. Despite this, this can be seen if the Grunt Birthday Skull is turned on."
- "Typically, the MA5B is not a headshot-capable weapon, however, if the Grunt Birthday Skull is activated, it is clearly seen scoring headshots on Grunts."
Fine, but just this once. Do it over the message boards. I will edit it for you to make it look better, as well as removing any unnecessary parts to make it look more professional. Once that's done don't just go and post it in the MA5B article. I advise you put it through Halopedia's proverbial "chain of command", that being, the patrollers and the admins, and see if they give you the green light to post it in the article. Or you could put the revised version in the article talk page in a new separate section, and see if other users say that would be okay to post it. Just some friendly words of advice.
Look, I know you want to see that on the MA5B page, but the simple truth is, and please don't take this the wrong way, it's really badly written. We are not trying to deny you your freedom of speech, but if you want to see something like that, then I would suggest you rewrite it so it is better written. But I should warn you, if this keeps up, you could get blocked for vandalism. It may be based on good faith, but the fact that you keep adding it right back after it's been undone could quite easily be considered vandalism. While it is a little interesting, but it is fairly pointless. In any case, I'm not your enemy, we are not your enemy, and I'm just trying to give a friendly piece of advice, for future reference, that's all.
