Pinch fusion reactors are fusion generators that serve as the primary source of power on board Covenant warships.[1] They use tritium as fuel and are much more advanced than UNSC fusion reactors. If their cooling systems are disabled or their maximum heat loads are exceeded, they can often fail explosively.
Small pinch fusion reactors are used to power the Covenant's Type-38 Tyrant anti-air cannons.
