The Oracle Newsletter was originally started by '''RelentlessRecusant''' on December 30, 2006 in an effort to educate Halopedia members about what work needed to be done and also to add a bit of fun into the lives of Halopedians. It was haltingly designed, written, and distributed by RelentlessRecusant himself until the night of February 10, 2007, when the acclaimed user '''Guesty-Persony-Thingy''' offered to help write and distribute the Oracle Newsletter.
 
The two brought the Oracle Newsletter from its state of torpor, and RelentlessRecusant graphically redesigned the newsletter in accordance with the new trendy color schemes, while Guesty-Persony-Thingy reorganized the newsletter and worked on the content. After yet another state of depression for nearly a month, on May 20, 2007, RelentlessRecusant restarted the ''Oracle Newsletter'' in yet a ''third'' different skin with the help of a new staff writer, '''Phil.e.''' and a new graphical designer, '''Caboose'''. Later, '''CommanderTony''' and '''TheObviousOne''' were recruited for their knowledge about the ''Halo 3 Beta''. Volunteer '''James-001''' later lent a large helping hand to the ''Oracle Newsletter'', and was accepted as an Intern Writer on June 24, 2007. Due to some unknown reason (but presumably preoccupation with other tasks), production of the ''Oracle'' was halted in July, with Issue XVI being the last to be published. With the introduction of the Halopedia Podcast, and the fact that issues had ceased to be published, RelentlessRecusant stepped down as Editor-in-Chief, and appointed '''Manticore''' as his replacement as Editor-in-Chief on September 16, 2007.  Manticore only produced one issue and officially resigned on January 16, 2008. '''Forgottenlord'''' appointed himself editor-in-chief on July 26, 2008 and has since brought the Oracle back to monthly distribution till Volume XX.


Halopedia News was officially disbanded by CommanderTony on February 7th, 2010 due to a lack of interest by the community and by a majority of the staff.

Oracle Newsletter
