So, does anyone else hink that it's along the same lines as the MA5K? If so, how do you guys think it will differ from the main Assault Rifle?
Honestly, though I do believe that it is something similar to the MA5K, I cannot see how it would differ from the Assault Rifle, besides being slightly weaker. Missing Mandible 17:04, 19 April 2012 (EDT)
- We know that Halo 4 will include two similar weapons, the BR85 and DMR, which will fill subtly different niches. I can see the same being said of the Assault Rifle/Assault Carbine. Something like the MA5K would have a longer range and tighter spread, but less ammo and/or lower rate of fire, leaving the MA5C/whatever it is now would be better for up-close spray-and-pray. It satisfies casual fans, and gives more "hardcore" fans an option that suits their playstyles more. I guess.
- Honestly, I'm not entirely convinced GI didn't just misinterpret something 343i said. Can anyone point out a Weekly Update, podcast, statement, etc. where 343i employees even mentioned an Assault Carbine that wasn't the Covenant one? I'd be grateful. -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 02:55, 20 April 2012 (EDT)
- Well, they did list both the Carbine and the Assault Carbine in the same sentence.
- Anyways, I thought that Carbines tend to be less accurate than Assault Rifles? I mean the stripped down kinds that are technically Assault Rifle varients.Missing Mandible 12:28, 20 April 2012 (EDT)
- I'd have thought the reverse would apply for carbines and assault rifles, Specops. Then again, Halo's history with firearm realism, particularly in the field of accuracy, is somewhat spotty.--The All-knowing Sith'ari 12:55, 20 April 2012 (EDT)
Somehow I have the image of the spiker in my mind. Do you reckon that would be a reasonable analogy. Mind you this is pure speculation.Weeping Angel 23:10, 6 May 2012 (EDT)
