Cyclical time

In the season 1 episode "Flesh and Bone", Leoben explains that humanity is destined to replay the same events over and over, though their specific role may not necessarily be the same.

BSG and Primordium both involve necessary information about the human homeworld being lost in a dark-age some time after leaving it to colonise other worlds. In BSG's case, it was the location of Kobol, itself. In Primordium's, it is Erde-Tyrene's status as the human homeworld.
