EMP (medal)

EMP Kill is a medal in Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach, in the latter called EMP Blast.
In Halo 3: ODST, it is awarded when a player kills a Jiralhanae shortly after disabling its power armor[1], as well as any shielded enemy including the Kig-yar and Huragok.
It is represented by a 16-pointed green star over a 16-pointed gold star, with an overcharged plasma pistol bolt over the green star.
In Halo: Reach, the medal is awarded for killing an opponent after his/her shields collapsed from an EMP burst by using Armor Lock, grenade launchers or overcharged plasma pistol bolts. The player will also receive the medal if their opponent is finished off by another player.
Trivia
- Performing ten EMP kills against Brutes in any level of Halo 3: ODST unlocks the My Clothes! achievement.
