Chamanune

Chamanune (plural chamanush) was a name used to refer to a species of human by contemporary humans and the Forerunners. The species lived on Erde-Tyrene during the Forerunner era, and were described as bronze-skinned and predominantly hairless. Chakas was a chamanune.

Trivia

• Although the actual species name is never given, it is likely that Chamanune was a name for either Homo sapiens sapiens or Homo erectus.
• However it was mentioned several times that Chakas had a chin, a trait common to Homo Sapiens and not present in Homo Erectus or other Hominids, effectively ruling out any species other then Homo Sapiens.
