There's vandalism. Look at what Manticore is posted above. Removing vandal tags. Also, I don't see how this concerns you.Bllasae 20:49, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Don't delete them from the pages anyways. Also, "illegal", I downgraded it from 3 back to 1. Also, a "sockpuppet" is an account created by the same user in order to take the blame for something, or to help vote for something.Bllasae 00:55, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes, they installation 01 and 07 pictures are messed up. Surface01 needs to be on Installation 01 and vice versa. My internet connection is being very slow, so I can't really do that right now.User0(contribs)(talk) 19:52, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Template categorisation

Wonderful that you're doing it. But remember to use [[Category:Templates|{{PAGENAME}}]] rather than [[Category:Templates]], because the former will categorise the templates by the name of the template and therefore alphabetically. Thanks. The 888th Avatar (Talk) 14:19, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Re: Plasma

Thank you Captain Obvious, but you've forgotten something, the forth state of matter being Plasma IS a ionized gas. Different from the properties of normal gasses but still related. A solid projectile coming into contact with Plasma is instantly vaporized on contact because of the intense heat, in the context of the Halo mythology any projectile based weaponry the UNSC has used, (for example Archer Missiles) have been vaporized on contact with any plasma based weapon the Covenant use.

Therefor a 50mm round from a PDG will do very little against the oncoming Plasma Torpedo. Point Defense Guns are only used against incoming attack crafts, they are not used to stop incoming plasma attacks (which is impossible and idiotic anyway) otherwise we would be winning space battles against the Covenant. Durandal-217 20:47, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Why?

Why are you reverting my correction?

20:25, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, they were wrong. I'm pretty sure "it's" is "it is". It is not a possessive noun; it is the exception to the rule. In the case of most other words, adding an apostrophe will signify either a contraction of "(noun) is" or ownership. The word "It" is the exception to the rule. You might want to stop reverting it, as that entire sentence looked bad before I corrected it. I will move it back to what it was before. You can go look it up on dictionary.com or something. 20:45, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Team Omega

"as far as we know, it's a Red-op" But how do you know? -TheLostJedi 11:30, 27 May 2009 (GMT)

I'm aware of Reach thanks... your speculation is very logical I admit, but I can't accept it, because purely that's all it is. Various teams merge and change, etc. we both know this, I'd just like a source with clarity to suggest Team Omega as part of Red Team. "used on a mission where Red Team splits up" are you referring to Halo Wars by the way? -TheLostJedi 12:02, 27 May 2009 (GMT)

As you might have gathered, I'm not a fan of that rule, as speculation isn't always true. You mentioned that Red and Blue team never have less than 6 members in their team unless they had to split up, although at Reach, Blue Team was a three member squad comprised of John, James and Linda, this was without splitting up. Also using Halo Wars as the example of Red Team splitting up isn't clarity for me, as we're still debating whether they were part of Red Team in the first place. -TheLostJedi 12:18, 27 May 2009 (GMT)

Hmm, now that sounds appropriate to me. Good thinking... and thanks for the intelligent discussion. -TheLostJedi 12:28, 27 May 2009 (GMT)

Re: Spartan tag

I know that, my point being that I didn't want to just revert someone's undoing of my edit without going to the talk page first. So regardless, There can be Spartans over 150, so it should be added back to the page. And it still clearly says "Sparton 320" in it, which is greater than 300. :( -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 19:51, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Keiichi-047

Do you recall that Keiichi-047 appeared in the 4th Mission of Halo Wars? I noticed your comments in his talk page mirror my own, however I've noticed upon further play that he no longer appears in the level. I however distinctly remember seeing him wielding a heavy turret and fighting a Wraith while Alice would head toward Cargo 2 because his name appeared when you selected him.

Do you feel that I am remembering incorrectly, or do you feel that he may have been removed in one of the first 2 game patches? --Avatar of Chaos 21:41, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Means nothing.

absolutely nothing is known.

Red Team at Harvest

I'll keep that in mind, although who out of Red Team would that be? Because if it is Keiichi-047 and the Unnamed Spartan that you're referencing, there's no information upon which team they belong to. I think its a valid point that the Spartans could have been and left (one I didn't actually consider before) however they weren't necessarily Red Team. Also, just on another point, if they did arrive and then leave, do you think it could have been before the Third Battle of Harvest? -TheLostJedi 14:20, 4 June 2009 (GMT)

Supposing it was Red Team at Harvest, a reason they could have left would be Arcadia. If that is true, then it would add a likelihood for them to be members of Red Team in the first place... Although that's just dire speculation, we don't know why they left, do we? -TheLostJedi 16:47, 4 June 2009 (GMT)

Halo Encyclopedia

On what grounds was this agreement made. Who has the decision here what is cannon and what is not. Get word from Bungie or Frank and then I will accept this decision. Spartan999 16:22, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

I never said that Frank authored to Encyclopedia, but he is the overseer of Halo canon. You making that point was infact pointless. You still have yet to prove to me why the Encyclopedia is not canon.
Conon sources contradict themselves. This is a common occurance. We sift through it by getting offical statements from official sources. You have yet to do so. Until then we can only assume that the latest official publication is accurate.
I know thrity Spartans died from the augmentations but you seem to be forgetting that 12 washed out.
Class 2 has yet to be proven to exist and you are doing nothing but fueling the fire of ignorance.Spartan999 16:51, October 29, 2009 (UTC)

Spartans

I agree, there is not enough info out there yet. But if you look at there service tags, they tell a lot. Alpha, Beta, and Gamma had a letter before the number. Spartan 2s do not. In the GameInformer, they put a S before the number. Which makes me think there are class 2, but like you said there is not enough info to find out yet. Maxwalker360 22:24, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

Convert Template

Just wanted to mention your convert templates that you imported from wikipedia use British spelling and need to be changed. I went in to change them, but Subtank was worried I'd accidentally spawn problems with the template and redirected me to you. The templates display SI units as 'metres' when they need to read 'meters', that way we don't have to add the US spelling parameter to each template as we see them. Just wanted to let you know that changing the template doesn't change the spelling. It is much more complex than that. :P - 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 11:51, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

Inserting video links

Hey Forerunner, on the Halo: Reach Welcome to Firefight 2.0 Trailer you changed the

<youtube width="300" height="200">cCLcx4i9jes</youtube>

to <video name="Firefight_2.0_Trailer" width="300" align="right"></video>

How did you do that?? I tried changing the youtube template to just the video name template, but I just got an error message, then I tried again, same thing happened :S. Bottletopman 10:05, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Oops, that was meant to be in code format ^^ but thanks anyway.Bottletopman 10:27, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Re: "hint"

Yeah, but since it wasn't mentioned on the page, thought it'd warrant a trivia mention. Also, those posts by Frankie appear to be the latest confirmation that the sequel's still on the way and actually in talks instead of being forgotten. But maybe "hint" is the wrong term to use in this case since it's been talked about in the past.--Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 09:36, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

I'm not sure if there's any point in creating the page until we have a confirmation and actual material to put in it. Still, since it's apparently on the way, we could make it and include a timeline of public mentions much like in Halo (Film). --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 09:43, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

Hey.

Hey, I just wanted to say that I'm coming back to this wikia after leaving to go to the *shudders* Call of Duty wikia, but I have seen the light and found out that it is a terrible, unorganised mess. They're trying to run a professional wikia and you have Admins raging at people, blogs blocking the Recent Changes meaning important things don't get through and basically, its just full of 12 year old CoD noobs. I hope you look foward to having me back on the team! Thanks. :) Helljumper U T C M6G Cropped.png

Halopedian.com

It also raises the intriguing (and quite worrying) question - which is the "real" Halopedia? We've been going here for a long time, but they are using the original format and using pre-transition content. Do we decide to migrate en masse to the "new" site, or do we keep this one going and use the other as a backup? -- Specops306 Autocrat Qur'a 'Morhek 21:09, August 12, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks

Thank you so much, and i apologise for mentioning it. I just thought it was a natural thing that someone put up. Like I said i was looking for the Beachhead firefight vid and i saw that 'wow, new maps, wonder if they are on Halopedia, if not add it' I had a feeling that it was a leak because I doubt Bungie would release the three maps together at the same time, because they only reveal a map every one in a while like outpost, courtyard and corvette firefight maps. Thanks for the advice. I will try to go 'dark'. *thumbs up* Xel Vaxum 06:24, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Huh?

Hi Forerunner, just wondering why you completely reverted my entire talk page? I'm new to the wiki, and am genuinely confused as to what I am supposed to put there if you deleted what I had there? My user page has an "@disabled" message on it, and I was told that if I changed it, it may mess something up...? Was I informed wrong? Thanks for your time :D KRZYBCH 17:30, September 25, 2010 (UTC)

Why did you remove my comment on John-117's Talk Page, you shouldn't be able to do that, i have a right to my own opinion. Im assuming you want the SPARTAN ll in cryo to be Linda, but just because i said i wan't it to be John and you dont doesn't mean you can just remove my comment! ~Jman98~

RE: Battle of Viery

I totally understand where you're coming from. It is, of course, possible that the Long night of Solace was part of the Fleet of Particular Justice and Thel was behind the whole plan, but I was merely trying to keep speculation and assumptions to a minimum. With information from Evolutions and the The Flood reprint, there were at least two other individual fleet units present (perhaps more), so we can't be 100% certain that the Solace was from the Fleet of Particular Justice.

Concerning the issue of Thel being a commander in the Battle of Viery, I guess that depends on how we define commander. Do we know if the fleet exiting slipspace just after the Solace was destroyed was a conscious action, or merely a coincidence? Further to the point, do we even know if Thel was behind all the entire attack on Reach? While he led a major naval force, it's possible that he either arrived later, or someone else orchestrated the whole "advance force" strategy and commanded the Long Night of Solace. In fact, it seems reasonable that a ship of that size would have its own commander who may have been a Supreme Commander as well. Thel was, obviously, part of all this, but there doesn't seem to be solid evidence that he was actively participating in the command of the operation at this point. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 09:45, 20 December 2010 (EST)

RE: SPARTAN teams

That seems to be the case. There are so many Spartans that have apparently served in different teams that it's reasonable to believe that most of the time, they're simply arrangements made for each mission. Although some newer sources seem to imply the existence of pre-designated teams that have been together since their training. Gray Team worked together since their childhood, and so did Black. In addition, Blood Line has a four-member "Red Team" that's implied to be working as a consistent unit during the Spartans' training days.

I think the Red and Blue teams in The Fall of Reach and Ghosts of Onyx, for example, are a lot like you described, teams formed differently on each mission. Then there are apparently certain color-designated teams that the Spartans were divided into at some point in their training. The more special-operations oriented teams (ie. Gray, Black) would retain these arrangements later in their career, while the mainline Spartans would form teams freely depending on each mission. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 11:28, 27 December 2010 (EST)

"UNSC colony"

While I agree that using the term "human colony" in place of "UNSC colony" makes more sense most of the time, it's apparently also appropriate to use the term "UNSC colony" in certain contexts, as Bungie themselves do it in the Halo: Reach CAA factbook. Since the UNSC has gained control of humanity's governing bodies during the war, it's really no surprise. Alternatively, the term may be used to refer to colonies within the UNSC's sphere of influence or colonies under the protection of the UNSC.

As for referring to the United Nations as the government on the colonies, wouldn't that be the job of the Colonial Administration Authority? The UN isn't a governing body per se, but more of an international organization that supervises international (and in the Halo universe, interplanetary) laws, social issues, economy and such. Even if the colonies have limited autonomy, the CAA still imposes the Earth government's rule on them.

Also, now that we know humanity colonized worlds thousands of years prior to the "modern" era, it may be necessary to make the distinction between prehistoric and modern human colonies. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 03:29, 19 January 2011 (EST)

Yeah, given the existence of human colonies ruled by other factions, I agree that changing the name of the category to "human colonies" was a good idea. I think the most clear-cut explanation for colonial governance so far comes from the 2008 Frankie/Robt McLees Interview, where they offered a fairly straightforward answer: "The CAA is the governing body in control of the colonies." So, the independence of each colony aside, the CAA seems to be the closest thing there is to a centralized governing body for the colonies.
As for the factual accuracy of term "UNSC colony", in the Bestiarum, humanity's form of government is mentioned as being "emergency military" which clearly refers to the UNSC. The UNSC's rule over UEG, CAA and UN would obviously be meant to be temporary, though we don't really know if it gave up its power after the war. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 09:54, 19 January 2011 (EST)
