Reach militia

During the Fall of Reach on the night of August 11, 2552, a militia fireteam was encountered in the Viery Territory by Recon Team Bravo during an assessment of the Covenant invasion force's overall strength. Although the area had been evacuated long before the operation, the militia had remained behind to defend their homes as well as recover weapons that they had stolen from the UNSC. During the UNSC's first encounter with Reach's militia, the groups infantry were mistook as Insurrectionists (which is still questionable due to their possession of UNSC property). During the battle to defend Reach, the only appearance of locals taking to arms was during a UNSC reconnaissance mission in the mountains of Visegrad in August 2552. Other than the presence in Visegrad, there are no other known occurrences linked to the Militia unless mistaken as affiliation to the Insurrection.
