Template:Weapon Infobox The MG460 Automatic Grenade Launcher, MG460 AGL for short,[1] is a vehicle-mounted UNSC grenade launcher found mounted on the UH-144 Falcon. Not much is known about it, other than it appears in place of the Falcon's usual door-mounted machine gun turrets. It may work similarly to the M319 Individual Grenade Launcher as evidenced by its rounds' behavior and the close similarity between the two weapons' computer display, although being possibly fully- or semi-automatic, opposed to the M319's single-shot break-action.
Firing Modes
The grenade launcher has two firing modes, similar with those for the M319 Individual Grenade Launcher. Tapping the trigger will cause it to fire a single grenade round, while holding down the trigger will fire a grenade that will not detonate until the trigger is released. Grenades fired in this mode will also release an EMP on detonation, disabling turrets, vehicles, and aircraft.
Trivia
- This weapon is similar to the modern day Mk 19 AGL Mk 19 Grenade Launcher, which is also automatic and also is mounted on aircraft.
- Despite its name, there is no way to fire the weapon automatically in-game. This is most likely due to it being based on the coding of the M319 Individual Grenade Launcher in all areas except for how it looks, the fact that it is mounted on a Falcon and the high speed the grenades are launched at.
- Grenades fired are not rendered, but they are in all other aspects identical to those from a M319 IGL.
