Background
The 340th was assigned to the Special Warfare Center in Seongnam of the Kyonggi Province in Korea. They provide realistic training exercises for the UNSC Marine Corps, Marine ODST, and other Special Operation units.[1]

- They have provided realistic operational testing for new and modified weapons systems, such as the MJOLNIR Mark VI Powered Assault Armor.
- The 340th CTU is also attached to the UNSC Operational Test and Evaluation Center (UNSCOTEC).
