Achievements (Halo: Reach)

The following achievements have been confirmed in the 7/9/10 Bungie Weekly Update[1], the 7/16/10 Bungie Weekly Update [2], and the 7/30/10 Bungie Weekly Update[3]. A picture showing all of them was also released, but only a select few names of achievements were shown. There will be a total of forty-nine achievements totaling 1,000 gamerscore in Halo: Reach when it ships: twenty-three Campaign, seven Firefight, four Multiplayer, six Training, and nine Player Experience achievements. Exactly what Training is is uncertain, though it has been confirmed that some of the Training achievements can be unlocked while playing both Campaign and Firefight. Player Experience refers to accomplishments such as advancing in rank and purchasing different pieces of armor from the Armory.
On 07/30/10, the names and prerequisites of the Achievements were confirmed.

Trivia
- The number of achievements that will be in Halo: Reach reference to seven, since forty-nine is seven squared (7 times 7).
- There are seven Firefight achievements, and "KEEP IT CLEAN" requires the player kill seven Moa, both references to seven.
- The image of "They've Always Been Faster", winged MJOLNIR boots, is a reference to the winged sandals of Hermes, which were said to make him extremely fast.
- All of the Campaign achievement titles, along with many of the others, are quotations from the Halo games and books.
- A few of the other achievements reference other bits of popular culture.
