Dr. John Smith was an ONI scientist working aboard the UNSC Prison Vessle, UNSC Mona Lisa in 2552. While aboard he studied several infected Elites in hopes of finding a cure to there disease. When the ship was over ridden with flood he remained hidden inside a small room untill he was discovered by Lopez's sqaud. He was killed while aboard the ship.
