A chocolate brownie, also known simply as a brownie, is a small, rich, chocolate baked cake-slice, named after its brown color.

Brownies may contain nuts, particularly walnuts and sometimes almonds. Brownies often have an icing, popular flavors being either vanilla or mint extract.

Brownies are consumed by humans, and were served for dessert on the first day of Spartan-II boot camp.
