The UNSC Red Horse was a UNSC Prowler used in October 2552 to survey the debris field of the destroyed Halo Array installation 04. It arrived in-system some time after the Covenant fleet and High Charity had left.
During their stay they picked up several escape pods and cryotubes from the Pillar of Autumn, none of the occupants were alive, except for one man that escaped from the prison ship UNSC Mona Lisa. The captain sent a squad of 18 marines to Mona Lisa to investigate right before a Covenant ship arrived making any backup impossible. Eventually it was discovered that the Mona Lisa suffered from a strange infection and the Red Horse was forced to destroy it by use of Shiva-nuclear missiles. [1]
The prowler had a six-year old onboard A.I called Rebbecca that strangely enough, right before the mission had replaced the fully functional three-year old, more likable A.I Chaunchey.
