UNSC Iroquois

The UNSC Iroquois was a UNSC Destroyer commanded by Jacob Keyes during the Battle of Sigma Octanus IV. The Iroquois was one of the UNSC's newer models, leaving the Space Dock at Reach only 3 months before the battle of Sigma Octanus IV. The Iroquois was armed with 2 MAC cannons, 26 oversized Archer Missile pods, and 3 Shiva nuclear Warheads. Covered with 2 meters of Titanium-A battleplating and Vanadium Steel alloy, the Iroquois could dish out and take a tremendous amount of punishment. The Iroquois also had a nonregulation crimson warstripe painted on each side. During the battle of Sigma Octanus IV they were battered. The dockmaster of Cradle offered to repaint or remove them, but Keyes declined both offers.

During the battle at Sigma Octanus IV, 4 dozen UNSC ships engaged 20 Covenant craft. Seven human craft survived. The Iroquois destroyed a stealth ship receiving an encrypted transmission from the surface. Once it was destroyed, the surviving Covenant ships broke off and fled. The Iroquois headed back to Reach for debriefing, but unfortunately, a Covenant probe tracked the motions of the Iroquois, and transmitted every location the Iroquois was at. This is how the Covenant found Reach.

After Captain keyes takes command of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn the Iroquois is never heard of again so its statues is unclear, but if it was present at the Battle of Reach its mostly destroyed. Template:UNSC Destroyers
