Isaac-039
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
Isaac-039 is a SPARTAN-II supersoldier and a minor character in the Halo universe. He was a friend of Vinh-030.
Early Childhood
Isaac was conscripted with 74 other children into the Spartan-II program in 2517. He was abducted from his home and replaced with a Flash Clone. He was taken to Reach where he was trained with the rest of his fellow candidates by Déjà and Chief Petty Officer Franklin Mendez.
Battle of Reach
- Main article: Battle of Reach
During the latter Battle of Reach in 2552 he was assigned to Red Team, under the command of Frederic-104. They were assigned to defend the generators, on the planet surface for the orbital MAC guns. As they descended, their Pelican, Bravo 001, was hit and the Spartans were forced to jump from the crashing vessel. Isaac was wounded, suffering two dislocated arms which hampered his fighting ability severely.[1]
He was then assigned to Delta Team by Fred, under charge of Will-043, to secure the fallback position for the Spartans in CASTLE Base. Vinh, Will, and Isaac were separated from the remaining members of Charlie Company, but arrived at CASTLE Base later.[2] They were unable to enter the facility until Fred and Kelly met up with them and Kelly whispered Oly Oly Oxen Free into the entry speakerbox.[3] Dr. Catherine Halsey then opened the door for them. Isaac was treated by Dr. Halsey and sent to survey perimeter defenses for the facility, along with Vinh. This proved unnecessary however, as the Covenant attacked immediately.
Disappearance
Vinh, Isaac, Fred, Kelly, Will, and Dr. Halsey were trapped under CASTLE Base on Reach for several days after Halsey initiated and activated Operation: WHITE GLOVE to destroy the base and keep it from falling into enemy hands. Isaac was able to upgrade his MJOLNIR Armor with parts salvaged from the base. He received a new image-enhancing computer that was in the process of being field-tested and had yet to be certified. After Fred discovered a massive room containing the Forerunner Crystal, it sent a massive radiation spike that allowed the Covenant to triangulate on the group's position. [4]A Covenant Gravity Lift quickly appeared, and Vinh and Isaac were ordered to take their six. Vinh and Isaac dropped back and opened fire until the group retreated and made for a nearby tunnel, as Vinh and Isaac dropped Satchel Charges to cover the Spartan's tracks. The Charges detonated, but Vinh and Isaacs disappeared. They could not be raised on the COM. Isaacs was listed as MIA, but is presumed KIA.
