The grunt war consisted of 2 races. the grunts, and the jackals. the grunts hated the jackals for all there past actions so they decided to go to war with them. lead by a grunt commander whos name can not be confirmed the grunts fought the jackals and reduced there troops to almost nothing. when the jackals were just a hair away from being destroyed, the elites forced the grunts to back down or they would declare war, if they hadnt done this the covenant may have broken apart and leave them with no grunts or jackals.
