New Mombasa

Summary
New Mombasa is a part of the East African Protectorate, historically part of the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya. It appears to be the site of a space elevator. This large, sprawling megalopolis was the Covenant's main point of incursion during The First Battle of Earth, and was where the levels Outskirts and Metropolis took place. It was destroyed when a Covenant Assault Carrier jumped to Slipspace inside the atmosphere near the city. The resulting Slipspace explosion destroyed much of the city.
