This page, "Trip Mine Glitches", has been nominated for deletion. The reason given was: Useless -- all of the information is already described in Overload Glitch (Halo 3). If you disagree, state your reasoning on its talk page.

The Trip Mine Glitches are various glitches in Halo 3 that depend on the usage of one or more Trip Mines.

Infinite Trip Mines / Overloading

This trick is the application of Halo 3's Instant Respawn bug. Instant-Respawn Trip Mines are used to overload a map.

  1. Start a match in Forge.
  2. Enter Edit Mode, and place a Trip Mine.
  3. Use the Instant Respawn trick on the Trip Mine.
  4. Return to Player Mode and stand on top of where the Trip Mine spawns. You should pick it up.
  5. Throw it out in front of you. You should immediately pick up another.
  6. Keep throwing Trip Mines. Eventually, you will overload the map.

Eventually, the pile of Trip Mines will detonate on its own (as a Trip Mine explodes automatically after 90 seconds). Sometimes, after the explosion, some of the Mines will reappear again, as if nothing had happened.
