The Assault Cannon was used to arm the Mgalekgolo sentries of the Dreadnought. Its ammunition comes in the form of incendiary gel tubes and can be fired as bolts or in a continuous stream[1].

Notes

- The Assault Cannon is most likely the Fuel Rod Gun and also explains the difference in firing style between the fuel rod gun of the Hunters in Halo: Combat Evolved and those of the Hunters in Halo 2 and Halo 3.
