The Commando Unit[1] was a Covenant Separatist Sangheili (Elite) unit in Halo 3 but was a combat force first seen in Halo: Combat Evolved in the level The Truth and Reconciliation, equipped with stealth armor with an Energy Sword, a Plasma Rifle, and Plasma Grenades. They were colored a cyan shade. It is part of the Special Warfare Group in Halo 3.
Its operatives were equipped and issued with the superior-quality and lighter-weight Commando Armor compared to the standard-issue Combat Armor in Halo 3.

- The Commando Armor is an Armor Permutation unlockable for use in Halo 3 Multiplayer.
